Kokam Battery Module (KBM) are 2 kWh – 12kWh systems composed of Lithium-ion Polymer Batteries connected in series or parallel. With its flexible and modular design, Kokam’s Battery Module (KBM) can be customized to meet various technical needs of customers.
It designed to accommodate cells with different capacities and can easily be tailored to meet diverse energy, voltage, and power requirements. In addition, Kokam Battery Modules’ safety features, implemented by various thermal management mechanisms and Battery Management Systems (BMS) provide our customers the highest level of confidence during operation.
Features
Each module contains a dedicated and integrated BMS (Battery Management System) that enables efficient monitoring of voltage and temperature in each individual cell as well as cell balancing. Standardized Kokam module can be connected in series/parallel to create a system of 2.4 kWh to MWh-scale.
Each module is built in an independent tray which secures clearance between individual cells for ventilation. The module provides cooling for electronic components and low thermal resistance. Maintenance and replacement costs of components are minimal.
Technical Data
Kokam provides Standardized Battery Modules based on cell formats of 216, 255, 460 depending on their size, voltage and capacity. Each battery module is used for different applications, and other customized models can be produced upon a customer’s request.
